Leptinella squalida, makes a dense mat of unusual feathery purple-black foliage with green tips. Insignificant gold-green flowers are produced in summer. It’s ideal for planting at the edge of pathways or using in cracks between flagstones.
It is easy to grow, especially in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Divide clumps in spring.
